Death by post-it

04/01/2016 by Holly

Today marks the end of an era.

Down with the gardening scrap papers.

Down with the gardening scrap papers.

When I learn a new trick, get recommended a new variety, or find a fun new site, I have this nasty habit of reaching for a post-it. This leads to a super-cluttery work space and way too many instances of the thought “now where did I put that…”

No more.

No more.

I’m sorry my gardening notebook is cuter than yours.

I don’t know what I’ve been thinking. I do this with my recipes, the endless supply of art and papers that come home from preschool, funny quotes the bitties say, pages I pull from magazines that host a beautiful idea I’d like to copy…what is the deal? Where has the gardening version been??

The move toward the planner has changed my life for the better. And {so far} I am successfully noting the when’s and what’s of what I’m learning and what I’m doing as the season begins. But still…STILL…the scraps have threatened to bury me.

Come and plunge the depths of dorkdom with us.

Yes, if you zoom out, that is yet another puzzle.

Plus, when you consider that it’s spring break in these parts, and we started out the week with a stomach bug and may or may not be finishing the week with croup {my ear is on the lookout}…well, we should just sell tickets around here.

If only…

so cute.

Did I mention two weeks til planting?

Oh, hi there

I'm Holly from zone 7b.
My veggies grow above ground where the rabbits help themselves, and the flowers grow in ground where the children help themselves. Sometimes I wish I was a pioneer. Then I move the clothes from the washer to the dryer and think better of it.
